1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using MulikaScans (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
These Terms apply to all users, including visitors, registered users, and subscribers. Your continued use of the Service after any changes to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Description of Service
MulikaScans is an automated web vulnerability scanning platform operated by IklwaLabs, based in Tanzania. The Service allows users to scan web applications for security vulnerabilities, generate reports, and monitor security posture over time.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time with reasonable notice to registered users.
3. Accounts & Eligibility
To access most features of the Service, you must create an account. By creating an account, you represent that:
- You are at least 18 years of age.
- You have the legal authority to enter into these Terms on behalf of yourself or your organisation.
- The information you provide during registration is accurate and complete.
- You will keep your account credentials confidential and not share them with others.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at security@mulikascans.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
4. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to use MulikaScans to:
- Scan, probe, or attack systems for which you do not have explicit written permission.
- Conduct denial-of-service (DoS) or distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks.
- Circumvent rate limits, quotas, or access controls of the Service.
- Use the Service to facilitate illegal activity, harassment, or harm to others.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or create derivative works from the Service.
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without prior written consent.
- Use automated means to access the Service beyond the documented API.
- Upload or transmit malware, viruses, or other harmful code.
MulikaScans logs all scan targets, originating IP addresses, and user identifiers. We cooperate fully with law enforcement investigations. Violations of this policy will result in immediate account suspension and may be reported to relevant authorities.
5. Plans & Billing
MulikaScans offers free and paid subscription plans. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to the following:
- Billing cycles — subscriptions are billed monthly or annually as selected at checkout. Charges are processed by PesaPal.
- Renewal — subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
- Cancellation — you may cancel at any time from your billing dashboard. Access continues until the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds are issued.
- Refunds — refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of a charge to billing@mulikascans.com and are assessed case by case.
- Plan limits — each plan includes a monthly scan quota. Unused scans do not roll over. Exceeding your quota requires an upgrade.
- Price changes — we will provide at least 30 days' notice before changing subscription prices. Continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance.
6. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, design, trademarks, and documentation, is owned by IklwaLabs and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to use our trademarks, logos, or brand elements.
You retain all ownership rights to data you submit to the Service. By submitting data, you grant IklwaLabs a limited licence to process and store it solely for the purpose of delivering the Service to you.
7. Your Data
Your scan results, target URLs, and account data belong to you. We do not use your scan data for marketing or share it with third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy.
Upon account deletion, your data is removed within 90 days except where retention is required by law (e.g. billing records retained for 7 years).
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
- Scan results will detect all vulnerabilities or be free of false positives.
- The Service will meet your specific security requirements.
Vulnerability scan results are informational only. You are responsible for validating findings and implementing remediation. MulikaScans is not a substitute for professional security assessment or penetration testing.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, IklwaLabs and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to:
- Loss of data, revenue, or profits.
- Security breaches or vulnerabilities not detected by the Service.
- Damages resulting from your violation of these Terms or applicable laws.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately and without notice if you:
- Violate these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy.
- Engage in activity that poses a legal, security, or reputational risk to IklwaLabs or other users.
- Fail to pay subscription fees when due.
You may close your account at any time from your account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will do so.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved by the competent courts of Tanzania, unless otherwise required by mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify registered users by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service and may close your account before the effective date.
